Public Option RIP: Pelosi Says Public Option Dead in Health Care Overhaul

OK, so that's the "news" of the day. Trouble is, I would not believe Pelosi if she said the sun appears in the East and sets in the West.

But I can tell you with a fair amount of certainty what is dead - the careers of most who vote for this travesty.

Certainly, some democrats are safe - like Pelosi, they come from areas that lean far-left, so she can do any dastardly thing she wants and get away with it. But even that may be coming to an end - while she may keep her seat after 2010, it is becoming much less likely that she will retain her position as Speaker of the House.

Pelosi learned well from her father, a former (corrupt) mayor of Baltimore. And when it comes to being corrupt, she appears to be putting him to shame.
