Democratic presidential candidate Cory Booker says he plans to curb gun violence by creating a national license requirement for all firearm owners, which
would include an interview and mandatory completion of safety training.
Apparently this far-left radical moron has never bothered to read the Constitution. Like the part that states unequivocally that "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Any educated person knows that a God-given RIGHT is not a privilege. A privilege can be licensed, regulated, given or taken at will. A RIGHT cannot. Whenever you license or have other requirements for a right, it ceases to be a right and becomes a mere privilege. Imagine if the government were to believe they could require a license to practice religion, or to vote (actually, many states did have a Poll Tax, taxing citizens so they could vote, but the Supreme Court declared them unConstitutional).
Couple the fact that keeping and bearing (carrying) arms is a right and not a privilege, the second part of the above phrase comes into play - being that it is a right, the framers of the Constitution made it doubly clear that it is a right and not a privilege by adding the phrase "shall not be infringed." In other words, government can do nothing to prevent the people from keeping or bearing arms, and can not interfere (i.e. imposing requirements) in them doing so.
Anyone who has doubts only need to look up the definitions for RIGHTS and INFRINGE.
Which brings us to a salient point: Corey Booker is not fit for any elective office, let alone the presidency. A requirement of such office is to swear under oath "...to the best of his ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
Booker is not doing so. Nor are most of his 2020 contemporaries, nor most Congressional Democrats.

Why AG Bill Barr Is Under Attack
If you are up on the news, you have noticed that Democrats are attacking Attorney General Bill Barr, his honesty and his credibility. They accuse him of lying and demand his resignation.
A reasonable, sane person would ask why, since Mr Barr's history over several decades of public service shows him to be a man of great integrity.
The problem lies, again, in Trump Derangement Syndrome - an inability of many Democrats to accept any truth or facts that show that they are wrong. They used to claim that Bob Mueller was an honest broker of great integrity, and spent two years threatening Republicans to not interfere with his investigation; that he would arrive at the truth. Hid did - but it was not the truth they wanted, so now they have turned on Mueller. They are doing the same with Bill Barr. But why him? Why aren't they simply trying to discredit Mueller's report instead of attempting to shoot the messenger?
If you understand the mindset of Democrats, the answer to that is obvious - AG William Barr is the one in a position to do great damage to the Democrat's "deep state" operation. He has publicly testified that he intends to look into Hillary's collusion with Russia, and into the deep state antics of the likes of Comey, Strzok and McCabe. He may even look into the corruption of former AG Lynch and her collusion with the Clinton machine. He intends to look into the FISA court hearing that allowed spying on the Trump administration, and to hold people accountable for their illegal actions. In short, it looks like AG Barr intends to actually do his job, unlike several predecessors. And NOTHING frightens the Democrat Corruption Machine more than having an AG do his job well, and look into their illegal schemes.
Coincidentally, that is pretty much the same reason they suffer Trump Derangement - Trump said from the get-go that he intended to "drain the swamp", and Democrats (and many Republicans, as well) have too much to lose if the swamp gets drained. They are running scared, and rightfully so.
If the Democrats are to survive the carnage they are susceptible to, they NEED to get rid of Bill Barr, or at least discredit him in the eyes of the people.
But I suspect they will fail. And then maybe, just maybe America really can be Great Again.

Democrats Have Not Even READ the Mueller Report
All the hype; all the political theatre; all the partisan BS - and not a single Democrat in Washington has even read the Mueller Report!
The un-redacted Mueller Report (except for Grand Jury testimony) has been available to congressional leadership for some time. To date, only bthree people have read it - and all three were Republicans. The Democrats running this sideshow have not even bothered to turn a single page. Why is that? How can they possibly run committes or oversight if they have not even read the report?
They can't! And there is a reason they have not chosen to read it - they do not want to hear the truth. They have spent the last 30 months hating Trump and crying over the loss of 2016. They have already made up their minds that Trump colluded and obstructed, and they have no intention of letting facts deter them from their derangement.
They know that Mueller found no collusion, and failed to comment on obstruction. That is not what they wanted to hear, nor expected to hear. They were CERTAIN Bob Mueller would take down Trump. And now they are even angrier than they were before the report was presented.
And now they are angry with Mueller, who was expected to be their saviour, and AG Barr because those two failed to find proof that the derangement of the Democrats was well-founded. When Nadler, Schiff, Pelosi, Harris, Booker and Hirono are shown to be the clowns they are, looking foolish to the world, it is no wonder they are so angry. My Dad used to say it is better to let people think you a fool than to open your mouth and prove it.
When Congressional leaders like Nadler and Schiff, along with other hyper-partisans like Hirono, Swalwell, Harris and Booker do not even bother to read the report that was 2 years in the making, simply because it opposes what they have decided to believe, then perhaps those people should not be representing anyone, let alone We, the People.
They do not deserve to hold public office if they cannot even make a stab at being unbiased and objective, and make an effort to learn the facts.
